Is it normal to go months without seeing eachother?

I haven’t seen him since September but we texted and talked on the phone but we’ll go week or longer without texting or talking on the phone. Right now it’s been 8 days since we last spoke.
*not quite a boyfriend. We’ve had an on and off relationship the last two years but we are on good terms now we just aren’t an official relationship.

If you are long-distance on opposite sides of the country, or another country or another state, it’s kind of understandable to not see each other frequently, but if you are local, remember, that effort is their amount of interest in you, if they’re not making effort, then their lack of interest is being present, or they have interest in other people or other things take a priority, their job, their family whatever it may be. If you’ve gone eight days without talking, unless he’s working 18 hours a day or something like that, remember that actions speak louder than words, and silence speaks volumes
