Painful sex during ovulation?

Is it normal for sex to be completely painful and totally unenjoyable during ovulation? Seems like every single month on ovulation day sex just HURTS. It feels as if he’s hitting my cervix and each thrust causes major discomfort. Nothing about it feels good. That I know of- I don’t have PCOS or endometriosis. It only hurts like this during ovulation. Please advise.

I wouldn’t say it’s normal, but it is possible as W said your cervix changes position and him hitting it can cause discomfort. Have you tried different sexual positions during this time?

Your cervix shifts so it could be lower and hes hitting your cervix. Avoid sex or make sure hes not going deep during that time if you still.want to have sex.
