Do babies move a little less when engaged?

I’m 37 & 4 and I’ve felt a few odd big movements for the last 2 days but I just wondered if babies typically move a little less when engaged and further down? I read it somewhere but not sure the thoughts ?

I don’t think they do, like another said it just feels different. My son didn’t engage until I was in active labor. I could still feel him moving & kicking as much as he was before labor. It was just more uncomfortable for me since he was pressing on my cervix (for obvious reasons lol).

Always get checked if they’re moving less. Several people told me they move less toward the end. The day I noticed my son was moving less at 40 weeks, I went in that evening and found out he had passed away. I regret waiting all day.

Babies dont move any less but the movements will feel differently. Ultimately if you are concerned about babies movement you should speak to your healthcare professional, even if its just to put your mind at ease x
