Should I tell my lawyer?
Hello! So back in October I was fired from my job with no warning, write ups or explanations. I was not even given a termination letter. During my time there I had issues with a girl and an associate manager. The girl displayed aggressive behavior towards me and the associate manager would belittle me. I made several complaints to my general manager and he said I should I avoid complaining because it would cause issues and I would get fired. I was in shock! I literally didn’t feel comfortable around those individuals and the office environment was very hostile. We didn’t even have a legit HR department. I was the top seller in that company. I just let it slide and was applying at other places in the meantime. I didn’t want to work there anymore. Well the general manager started to make sexual comments to me. I felt harassed but because he said I would get fired I stood quite. I didn’t know where to complain for sexual harassment.
I ended up getting fired because the girl who I had issues with complained about my micro aggression which I have no clue how I was being micro aggressive. On the day I got fired my general manager (the one who was sexually harassing me) spoke with me privately and told me the chief officer would come talk to me about some accusations against me. He told me that there were accusations towards me being “racist” I asked him how I was being micro aggressive and racist. I was thrown off guard.
He told me “you aren’t. I spoke highly of you. She started complaining that you wouldn’t say good morning to her” I avoided communication with her (the girl who I had issues with) because she displayed aggressive behavior towards me. I was training her one day and she was upset so she threw a pen and kicked office furniture. But when I did the complaint about her I was told I can’t complain😐
I was upset. How was that micro agressive and how was that racist. He told me I cannot tell anyone what he told me.
So I got fired and was not provided an explanation. The chief officer just said there were accusations. I refused to sign any documentation because I was not given an explanation and he refused to tell me me why I was being fired.
Fast forward 1 month later, a lawyer picked up my case quick. It is in process actually and I provided several screenshots of conversations I had with my general manager. However, I’m not sure if the company I used to work for is aware I have a lawsuit against them.
I didn’t realize my tik tok was public and it’s been twice where my General manager views my page. Tik tok shows you your viewers.
Just yesterday I had a missed call from him. I’m scared why is he calling me and stalking my social media. Should I tell my lawyer????
