Are azo UTI test strips accurate??
Starting friday evening i started getting an achy feeling after i was finished peeing. it didn’t feel like i needed to still pee, just a dull ache. I’ve also had moments where i don’t need to pee and then all of a sudden i’m about to pee my pants because i need to go so badly. On saturday i bought the azo uti test strips and got a different result each day.
1st test on sunday: postive for leukocytes negative for nitrite (box said it could indicate a uti but to test the next morning)
2nd test on monday (first pee of the day): negative for leukocytes and negative for nitrite
3rd test today (first pee of the day): negative for leukocytes and postive for nitrite (box said it indicated a UTI)
I haven’t had the achy feeling since sunday but i have still had the sudden urge to pee really bad. I have gotten UTIs in the past and have always known instantly when i have one, but i don’t have any burning, itching or any of the other symptoms. Last time I had sex was exactly a week ago. I really don’t want to spend hours waiting to be seen at urgent care and also really don’t want to spend money if i don’t need to. I’ve been drinking water and my pee is clear, no smells or anything. I’m just kind of puzzled why i would get 3 different results.
