I met my now husband as a sophomore in high school on a missions trip. My mom was one of the leaders on the trip, and she just loved him. She then proceeded to tell him EVERY time she saw him, "You know.. I have a daughter you could marry..." (Luckily we lived 4 hours apart, so we only saw him at big events)
Who knew he'd call my dad two years later to ask for his blessing to date me and that a year and a half later we'd be married!!

I think my mother loves my SO a little too much that it is a little annoying sometimes, I get bitched at by my mother if I don't feed him well or take care of him like a man. LOL

She used to not be so fond of him in the beginning for some reason, but now she loves him & they get along great.

With my husband and mom it's not really a "yes" or "no" of do they get along. My husband's mom has a toxic personality and so that's how he thinks moms are supposed to be (he wasn't sad at all that he didn't get to spend Christmas with his mom this last year) meanwhile my mom is an extremely generous, giving, caring mom. He gets annoyed with her wanting to take pictures when we are out and about (she's an amature photographer) but she still helps us so much with groceries and such when we need help

The other night I was arguing with my guy and it was hard for me to express how I was feeling, so he turns to me and says "I'm gonna call your mom, she'll talk to me and tell me what's going on with you since you can't tell me" lol he gets along great with my family! And also, I went to Vegas with my two sisters and our friend last April for my birthday, he told me he had planned a surprise for me while I was out there. The day of the surprise, I had a knock on the door, my sisters opened up  the door and he walked in the room! He flew from NY to Vegas to surprise me! Best birthday ever💕 and my sisters were behind it the whole time and my mom too!

My mom doesn't really not like him..she says hi to him when he comes over and she says goodbye when he leaves but she doesn't go out of her way to talk to him..after being together for 6 months she finally called him my bf today instead of always just calling him my friend.

At first my mom didn't really care for my boyfriend she was more worried about her wedding and then after trying to have a child of her own, then I got pregnant so I hid it from her for 4 months when I finally told her she hated him didn't even talk to me or tell me 3 weeks later she found out she was pregnant lol it wasn't until I was almost 8 months pregnant until she talked to me but my boyfriend still wouldn't talk to her. The day I had my son my mom bought him a burger because I was in labor so long and then he fell back in love with her. My boyfriends mom walked out on him when he was young so now he calls my mom and asks her questions about life or even if we fight lol
