First time pregnancy and ftm..
I recently got told at my anatomy scan (20 weeks) that my son is measuring 2-3 weeks smaller than he is supposed to. I got referred to a high risk doctor where i went and did a detailed anatomy scan and i was 22 wks and 2 days when we did that. He is measuring 2 weeks behind and weighing 11 ounces. I got told by my OB that my placenta isn’t giving the proper nutrients to the baby to make him grow and he is brain shunting (take the blood he is getting and it’s all going to his brain). Apparently my blood is clotting in the umbilical and making it harder to go through to the baby from my placenta.. I’m just wondering if anyone else has gone through this or something similar and what the outcome was.. i want to know if it’s possible my placenta can stay strong and keep the baby strong until he’s strong enough to come out early if that has to happen or..
