On Saturday we had an ultrasound and everything looked good with baby.

Went today for a prenatal with my family doctor and she tried to hear the heartbeat on the Doppler but couldn’t find it. I’m 13 weeks 2 days.

She said that was normal for a first pregnancy and she wasn’t worried because the ultrasound was good.

I am bigger and already had a fat stomach before getting pregnant, and she said she didn’t want to press too hard and we will hear it at the next visit.

I’m trying not to panic but now I just feel really sad and like I don’t know if the baby is ok and now I have to wait 3 weeks.

Have any plus size mamas had this issue before?
