Recently I got married , something I should’ve not done . We’ve been dating for a year and he proposed without a ring , I ended up purchasing our rings ( just regular gold bands he picked out ) I had no say so over this and I didn’t like the ring . But he told me he would pay me back . He’s military by the way. So while we dated he paid for everything and I didn’t think he had any financial problems but now I’m worried and feel like I have made a huge mistake. He makes me extremely happy but my financial stability means everything to me . So I recently started a job as a pre-K teacher and I’m still going through a lot of schooling for this on top of completing my masters . Today we had didn’t have school due to the weather and I’ve expressed to him how overwhelmed I’ve been with work , the kids and school . Trying to balance everything but today before he left for work he asked me to log into his classes and read the first few chapters of his book and sum it up for him . I just looked at him and didn’t say anything but that triggered me so bad . Today I’ve just been thinking of what to say to him . We have been staying together for a few months and let me tell you he has very paid rent , never purchased groceries, never bought any household items , never ask about what bills are due and I’m just feeling like I’m his mother at this point . I refuse to be anyone’s caregiver again.
