Has anyone ever refused a transvaginal? I was supposed to go for a dating scan at 8.5 weeks Tuesday, but that appt got cancelled due to weather. The 8.5 week appt was supposed to be transvaginal. Now I go at 11.5 weeks. I’ve had a transvaginal ultrasound before at the gyno as part of a general check up, but never one while pregnant. I know they’re a little uncomfortable, especially depending on the tech. If my chart still has it listed as transvaginal, im going to refuse it and request abdominal. I'm not trying to be difficult, but I've talked to some people i know and they've bled after a transvaginal. I had an abdominal ultrasound at 10 weeks with my son, so at 11.5 there should be no reason for transvaginal, right?
