Dark ovulation test before period?

AF due Monday. Decided to take an ovulation test just because and it's pretty dark (I know it's not positive).. is this normal before period?

I wouldn't consider this dark at all. You always have lh in your body, so seeing a line like this is normal

Your LH will rise shortly before your period. It unfortunately means nothing. Also, do not let a LH test strip touch a HCG strip as it 100% will cause the HCG to throw a false positive. I tested this out many cycles while trying to conceive.
