So I went to a bar with a girlfriend on Friday.

We ordered a few drinks and a dish to share - tapas.

After the date, I paid, we split the bill and she paid me back half of the evening.

I made a QR code for her to pay me back and I thought my bank app told me it worked but I'm questioning if I even looked at it, I might not have.

It's been a few days and the money isn't in my account yet, which isn't usual for my bank or for transfers or whenever she pays me back. it's usually instant and she's with thesame bank as I am.

I've been wondering if it bounced, and if it did should I even ask about it? Her family isn't doing great financially so if she can't afford that, maybe I shouldn't ask for it. I haven't got an abundance either, I'm seperating from my ex and we have kids and I have to pay a bunch of taxes and I still have to buy a laundry machine for my apartment and my ex just bought a ton of groceries that he wants me to pay half of and that already puts me out of the possibility to buy the laundry machine, but with kids, I can't not have a laundry machine. I don't drive so I can't go to a laundromat. So like TECHNICALLY the money is there but it was for a different purpose.

Maybe we shouldn't have had the dish but we did.. either way.. what should I do?

It wasn't a huge amount, like I said, we're both not too well off so we didn't exactly splurge. Definitely worth less than our friendship. 😅
