Pain????

Can anyone describe the pain of giving birth as best as you can? Please

Overwhelming. With my first, my labor went really quickly and there wasn't time for an epidural. Contractions are the worst part. I guess they are similar to period cramps, but far, far worse. And a more sharp, striking pain, if that makes sense. Pushing was the easiest part for me. The baby's head crowning burns, but it was honestly a relief from the contractions. Im just going to be truthful, It's honestly the worst pain I've ever experienced, but it isn't unmanageable pain. It didn't feel like I was dying. It didnt make me cry or scream... if that makes sense. And going into it this time, I feel more prepared. I know it differs person to person, but I spent most of my labor lying on my back, and that was a horrible idea. I felt more comfortable sitting up hunched over my husband. I just sat on the edge of the bed and he stood in front of me, and I just laid all of my weight into him. I stayed like that until I was ready to push. Deep breathing is also helpful. And I counted every breath during contractions in my head. You just kinda have to let it all go and let the pain take over you. Once I let all my muscles relax, after the initial shock of the pain, things went so much easier. It's natural to tense up, but then it hurts more. My husband was really great about reminding me to relax my shoulders/neck/hands/etc. Hope this helps?! Im sure you werent expecting a novel ha! But don't be afraid! You are strong. Your body was built for this, and you can do it! (: just try to go over different coping methods with your SO or whoever will be there for your L&D! Once baby is in your arms, nothing else (not even the pain) will matter.

I just had my baby vaginally on Christmas Eve, FTM, so didn't know what to expect. 2 and a half hours after starting contractions I got the epidural because they hurt like hell. The epidural helped a lot!!! Pushing was more so exhausting (I pushed for almost 3 hours) than painful, but still did hurt. I had to get 5 stitches afterwards from tearing.

Like you are going to burst.. Sharp staving pains and horrible back pain. All worth it.

Contractions are almost like period cramps but 10x times worse, after a epidural i almost didnt feel a thing. And the moment when she came out ( 15 min of pushing) .. It was like my vagina was on fire... But... The moment she arrived.. I totally forgot all about the pain and fell in love.

Like cramps when you have to go to the bathroom but so much worse and intense. I was scared to push, but pushing was actually a relief!

Contractions at the end (after being induced--  wish I could take that back) felt like someone was stabbing me in the stomach with a knife.  The vaginal pains when my son was coming out felt like burning, tearing, insides falling out, etc...  And with all that, I can't wait to do it again this summer!  It's totally worth it (but I'm getting an epidural sooner this time).
