my daughter is 2 weeks and 1 day old and she’s drinking 4oz sometimes less is that bad? My doctor told me to only give her 2/3 oz but when I do she’s fussy his advice was to let her cry but she won’t calm down, is it bad if I continue to feed her 4 ozs?

My babies always drank more than what they "should" all healthy regular sized children. Dont let their charts discourageyou from doing whats best for your child

When its breastmilk the amount doesn't increase over time! The milk changes to fit babys needs. Again the point is the technique. So many bottle fed babied are overfed, regardless of being formula or breastmilk.

This information does not seem accurate. Feed your baby if they are hungry. They will DEFINITELY need more nutrition as they get older. The amount they need is 2.5 oz per pound of weight. So 25 oz a day for 10 lb baby. Here’s reputable information: https://www.healthline.com/health/parenting/baby-feeding-schedule#how-often-to-feed

That goes for breastmilk as the milk itself changes, unlike formula. Im talking asking about the technique.

It's completely normal for a 2-week-old baby to drink around 2-4 ounces per feeding. Every baby is different, and their appetite can vary. If your daughter seems satisfied and is gaining weight, there's no need to worry. Trust your instincts as a parent and feed her according to her cues. If you have concerns, it's always best to consult with your pediatrician for personalized advice.
