DESPERATE FOR IDEAS WONT TAKE BOTTLE

Kate

Little one is 3mo and breastfeeds great but I will not be able to take her to appointments after 4mo so she will need to be able to take a bottle for short times.

---

We have tried different people, different bottles, temperatures, desensitizing mouth, empty bottles to get used to nipple, warm vs cold, different rooms and places, different positions. Checked for high lipase and tried freshly pumped. I worked with lactation and starting process to get referred to OT but any ideas are welcomed!!

Initially she would throw up and gag on any bottle or anything in her mouth including pacifiers, your fingers, etc. after working with lactation she now tolerates things for short durations.

She isn't as much bothered anymore about the bottle in her mouth but doesn't like duration, chomps instead of sucking motion, hates when you do cheek support to try to get the latch, and hates milk being poured into her mouth so will spit it out and throw up if you do manage any.
