Our journey to make a baby took a little over two years

Our journey to make a baby took a little over two years. We went to a specialist and with their help we were able to get pregnant with or first baby. There are no words we could use to describe the joy and happiness this gave us! We could not wait to tell everyone our news. We announced to close family and very close friends first then we waited until husbands BBQ competition to make the announcement to everyone else. We have two dogs that I took photos of and posted on FB for all to see. Then we did our gender reveal with family and friends at home with a confetti filled balloon. Then it was a waiting game that involved  more morning sickness. We started December out dilated to a 1 and 25% effaced. As the weeks went by we slowly progressed. I was betting I was going to go into labor on January 2nd. But I was wrong. We spent New Years eve with friends and I was having contractions but they were to far apart to call the doctor. We got home around 930-10 pm. I took a hot shower and went to bed around 1030. I had been at the doctors earlier that day and I was only dilated to. 1.5 and 30% effaced. I woke up at 1:20am to go to the bathroom and my water broke. I was in labor for 12hrs. They induced me because I wasn't that dilated. And it was causing some issues so they ended up doing a c-section. Our little man came out weighing 6 lbs 3oz and coming in at 19 3/4 inches. We are so in love with him!!
