Return of menstrual periods differ between pregnancies?

Mine retuned at 3 months pp with my first and 6 weeks pp with my second. They were immediately regular despite breastfeeding.

I’m now 5 months pp with my third and I THOUGHT I had my first period in early January, but nothing since, so I’m wondering if it was real or not. I had a D&C at 6 weeks pp for retained products of conception this time, so I’m really nervous about the possibility of Asherman syndrome… I know periods can be abnormal for up to a year, especially if breastfeeding, but that’s not been my personal experience thus far.

Did yours come back at the same time or much different times after each pregnancy? Were you breastfeeding?
