Miscarriage or Ectopic ?????

Hi everyone, well this was suppose to be my first pregnancy at age 29. I took a pregnancy test on Jan 9th and a week after I went to my doctor to do an ultrasound but was told my uterus started to show endometrial thickness at 15 mm but I was too early to see anything so to come back in a few weeks(most likely I was around 4 weeks) While waiting, about a week ago I was a bit stressed and started crying a few minutes from that I started feeling very sharpe pain on my left abdomen, I tried to calm down and after a few minutes the pain went away. Last week I started to cry again (I was super emotional) but this time the pain was there for a few hours. When I went to the bathroom I wipe and it was red blood ( not a lot to full a pad) around 3 hours from that I went to use the bathroom and had pushed out a red clot with white like tissue that was a bit stretchy (I was too scared to take a picture) later that night I felt the same pain again and rush to the ER. They said my cervix is closed so they weren’t sure if it was a miscarriage or what. I went to to an ultrasound and my endometrial thickness is 4.6 mm and I was still bleeding. They also said they saw silver liquid in my POD. Could this just a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy????? I did a few blood test so I should be going for the results this week.
