Bleeding everytime I have sex with IUD?

Question

I’ve had my IUD for 4 years but I am having light spotting every time I have sex recently the past 3 times. It will last for a few hours and stop. It’s REALLY light and only there when I wipe. My string is still in place, there’s not any pain. 
Should I make a gynecological appointment?
This is something I would over look and just forget about but I want other women’s opinions.

I think you should go to a doctor. I don’t want to scare you or make you upset but I had the same and it was chlamydia.… so please be kind to yourself and see a doctor just to check it out.

Definitely get checked out. I also had the same problem as well as really bad cramps. Only to find out i was.9 weeks pregnant with an ectopic pregnancy

I started spotting every time my husband and i had sex while on the iud i overlooked it after about 2 months of doing that i started bleeding thinking it was my period overlooked it again i bled for 2 straight months and by that time was in the process of moving to another state so i didnt have a doctor to call i thought my string was in place bc i kept checking it just to find out where i thought was the right place wasnt it literally fell out in the shower the night before i was going to go to the hospital and i stopped bleeding altogether after that other than my monthly cycle which actually lightened from being so heavy i despise the iud now
