Baby shower at 38 weeks?

So my mom and I have been somewhat procrastinating planning a baby shower, we’ve just been busy. I’m currently 36 weeks and we’re looking at having the shower when I’ll be 38 weeks 2 days. Is this too late? This is my first baby, so hopefully that means I’ll be less likely to go into labor before my due date. 
What do you all think?
Update: he held out ☺️ I’m now 39 weeks and kinda ready for him to come though lol

Give it a try but be prepared to cancel. I wouldn’t plan anything that a non-refundable. Our first was born at 37 weeks.
