How to know if I have ECWM?

My husband and I began TTC in January. This is our second month, and I just recently began trying to track my CM for the first time ever. I had ovulation cramps two nights ago (I feel them every month), and according to the glow app my peak ovulation days were yesterday and today (I know the app can be "off" sometimes). My CM is very wet and watery, but it still has very small white clumps in it. It hasn't been stringy like EWCM, but it also isn't creamy. Can this type of CM be helpful in conception?

Honestly cm is not a great way to track ovulation. Ovulation tests are the best way :). You can still track cm in addition though! You can actually get ewcm any time of month even though it’s more common during ovulation.

For me when I get egg white cm it’s not ONLY egg white cm. I get it for about a week (some only get it 1 or 2 days before ovulating, it can range a lot). And sometimes cm doesn’t always line up where you are at in your cycle. But for me it’s always been accurate. But throughout that week I sometimes get egg white, sometimes it’s just watery as you described, sometimes slightly creamy, but it also had egg white in it other times. So I would track those days as egg white can since you had it at one point. I don’t make a ton of cm either, so I may only see it once a day when I do. To check, I wash my hands before using the bathroom. And before I go, I insert my fingers just slightly in. Sometimes I notice dif cm doing that then just what I see when wiping. It definitely can take a little to learn about your body. 
Also for most, once you ovulate, your cm dries up completely. Just another indication of ovulating!
