Newly Diagnosed
I am 18 and newly diagnosed with pcos. Needless to say I am so disappointed and overwhelmed. The life I dreamed of with children seems to get farther out of reach with every missed period. Current period is 9 days late. Dr did not tell me how bad it was or any natural options. Pushed birth control and sent me on my way. Only gave me insight about dieting and weight and diabetes when I asked her. Otherwise told me to google pcos.
I do not want to take birth control and would rather go a natural route. I am overwhelmed with natural options and the idea of dieting the rest of my life so that I do not get diabetes. My gyn told me I have to go keto or carnivore (because that is what worked for her) but I just don’t think I (not being the same person as her) can do that. I have chosen to go low carb-ish and got a gym membership and go 3-4 times a week. I am not obese but want to get on this before that may be a possibility. I think this is stirring up a bit of depression within me which makes me so sad. I really wanted to have children and now I might not be able to.
What lifestyle changes did you all make when you were diagnosed? What natural options worked for you? I am so overwhelmed and sad about this.
