My boyfriend and not wanting a baby

So my boyfriend of almost years has already told me we'renot having a baby at all. He has told me.about his past with his ex wife they were trying to adopt a baby girl that was living with them he got really sick couldn'tdo anything for himself and ex worked didnt help him well one day the baby fell off the porch and got hurt got surgery done on her brain they couldn't adopt her. He told me.he was scared of babies which i could understand why he was scaredto have another baby. But when his brother comes over with his baby hes holding it and everythingbut when i hold a baby its dont get any ideas no dont hold the baby you will get baby fever and.i will habe to hear you talk about babies. Well i got upset because we go out for breakfast sometime at a restaurant in town and the waitresses that likes us is pregnant right she firts with my.bf and he talks.to her about her pregnancy and how its gettinc hard because she has 4 weeks left and im like why you asking her about her pregnancy when i cant even talk about.babies or show you a baby on my phone or hold one. How can i bring up talking about the possibility of maybe having a child later in life with him i understand he has trauma from his adopt baby but i cant go my entire life not having baby when i want one.
