I’m super nerdy and I need to tell someone what I’m doing.

I’m trying to hatch baby quails.

The problem here is these POS incubators I got

I’ll just show you the most recent one.

This is experiment 626, stitch. I’m keeping it this egg poacher of an incubator because it doesn’t fit in the new one. I’m afraid of stacking it because there is an egg turner in the new incubator and I’m scared of them getting cracked toppling over each other as they’re being turned, that turner is scary as hell to me lmfao. I also… didn’t want to just toss this little egg so. It’s in here.

All of these eggs spent the first 3 days in 2 of these as I tirelessly stressed about temp and humidity. I ordered a better incubator (the first photo you see) and they’re finally on stable ground

Im hoping… to god… literally that these smaller piece of turd incubators didn’t kill all of the chicks before they had a chance.

I put them in the new one tonight and because they have a turner I am not going to touch them at all for a few days. When I do, I’ll be checking for signs of development in the eggs with a light.

Good lord I’ve lost sleep over these eggs let me be a little nerdy. Cross your fingers for stitch and all his siblings, ironically stitches incubator is keeping a stable temperature with just one egg in.

If you don’t know what a quail is um, well. If they hatch they’re gonna be like super tiny shrunk down baby chickens.
