ONE heart beat
Ignore the cruddy set up, i have this all up in our spare bedroom because I don’t want my cats to knock it over.
But tonight is the beginning of day 4.
Which means I should be able to find out what is going on with these eggs. They spent almost 3 days in 2 of the crappiest incubators that exist.

And oh btw, I managed to spot one that is definitely not fertile, I threw it out and the last egg in that yellow incubator is now joined with the rest. My mother wants to buy silky chicken eggs and has asked me if I’d incubate them for her so I figured I’d check out what’s going on in these eggs tonight.
I have found literally ONE heart beat in all the eggs. Only one has a clear embryo growing that has a heart beat and shows proper development. and I…legit think some of them might be a little bit behind and it would make sense because the crappy incubators I had were not heating all of the eggs equally.
Some of them look like they might have something in them but I can’t tell. I can’t tell my mom anything for sure yet.
An example of what it looks like because I’m not keeping it out long enough to take a photo. This is from Google.

It was the first egg I candled which gave me some false hope lol. It’s very clear, has a very strong heart beat going on. If I seriously get one chick out of like 30 something eggs that I started out with I might cry. I stayed up for 2 days trying to control what was going on in the crap incubators I had them in.
If literally only one hatches I’ll just buy more somewhere because they’re flock oriented like they’ll get depressed and die if they’re alone.
