Is it possible to not go to anymore doctors appointments past 25 weeks?? I am starting a new county job and I cannot miss the first 16 weeks of training. I have a doctors appointment right before when I start and I’ll be 25 weeks by then. If me and baby are healthy, would they still make me have to go in? Just sucks the timing of this great job and baby is crazy. But I’m in Cali and get that maternity leave no matter what 🙏

I would not skip doctors appointments. You can possibly ask for them to be spread further out, but you most likely still need to do a glucose test & possibly get a growth scan. What time is your training? Can you go to the earliest or latest appointment time? I get off at 3 & always had a 4pm slot booked throughout my pregnancy so I didn’t need to miss work

There are plenty of women who birth outside the system. It’s very normal and honestly safer… I’m on my 5th and my last pregnancy I never even saw a doctor at all. This time I waited to see a midwife at 20 weeks. If you feel good and feel consistent movement, I wouldn’t worry. Women intuitively know what’s up with their bodies.

Yes you have to go or when you deliver they could possibly call CPS on you, or at least in my state they will.

Possible? Sure you could just not go but would that be recommended or advised? Definitely not. Unfortunately many issues can still arise in the third trimester. Maybe they can offer you a telehealth option?
