When I was newly postpartum my BIL wrecked his car and I told him he can borrow mine. I had to take my newborn to his doctor appointments and had to borrow my MILS car and get A/c didn’t work. My newborn was sweating in the backseat.

I told my husband it wasn’t going to work out and I needed my car back. He told me they are still using it.

7 months later and I still don’t have it back.

Right now I am using a mini van because we basically had to buy a new car because my in laws are still using mine.

Another brother in law (I have 3) basically got in my husbands big van on the drivers side (I’m not comfortable driving it— too big and lots of blind spots) when my husband stopped by at his house to get something and kind of put me on the spot to borrow my mini van. I’m a people pleaser and said yes just until Monday. It is Thursday and I still don’t have my car.

I kind of got into it with my husband and told him that every time I let someone use my car I never get it back and that it’s his family and he needs to tell them to give it back.

The brother that borrowed my mini van doesn’t even have kids. (I have 4) I need to be able to take my kids to their doctor appointments, run errands etc and I can’t do that. I’m literally stuck at home while someone is free loading off of our cars. Ugh.
