38 weeks contractions

Has anyone ever had contractions every 2-3 minutes and no dilation?? Im 38 weeks tomorrow

I started having contractions around 8pm last night and it gradually got worse we started timing it and it was 2-3 minutes i go to hospital around 11 something and they said I was having contractions 2-3 minutes as well but checked my cervix and said it was closed both times but honestly the 2nd time I feel like she didn’t even go in all the way to measure. They told me it’s early labor and sent me home around 2:30 am with Tylenol and flexiril for the pain . Its been 3 hours since I got home and these contractions have not stopped along with the pressure down there it’s very painful!!!!! I don’t know what to do since they said I have to be 3-4cm to admit me. These contractions should be making me dilate already theres no way. The nurses said i have to be 39 weeks in order to induce, but My doctor told me he would not stop labor if I did go back to hospital with contractions and said its fine if he decides to come early but yet the nurses sent me home. Im so confused and I don’t want to deliver this baby at home as a first time mom. 😩🥹😕 I’ve been drinking raspberry leaf tea, walking just to help but nothing i need some tips or advice
