So long ?

I’ve been unemployed for 3 months maybe 4 I was offered a job at a gas station end up telling me that his manager told him not to hire anyone one. So I haven’t find gotten a job my cousin works at Taco Bell and went to the interview and got the job. This was 2 weeks ago. Told me to fill out information to fill out my taxes and direct deposit. Mind u I had to call her multiple times to send it. Because she said she sent it to the wrong person. She sent to me last week I filled it out. Called her when do I start she says this weekend. I call her yesterday and she says I have the job but she waiting on some stuff to send on her end. It’s been 3 weeks nd I haven’t started. Why is the process so long?
