Have yall seen the dentist yet?

Is it normal for them to do 4 different teeth scrapings with numbing solution before they clean??? I have not been able to get my teeth clean because the dentist office that insurance covers over here. Do not take appointments and I have to call but every time I go in they want to numb a quarter of my mouth and scrape the crap out of my teeth and if I can come in and get it done four times then they’ll brush and flush my teeth.  ￼

It’s called a quad scale.  They typically only do one quadrant at a time especially if there’s a lot of buildup below the gums.  Since it can take up to an hour per quadrant, they split it up so your whole mouth isn’t sore after.
