Does this sound right??

So I called my dr to set my first 8 week appointment up which is all fine and dandy but they said they wouldn’t do an ultrasound that day. They said I’d have to set up another appointment for later on. I called today to get an idea when the techs would be in the office to do it so I can start planning on when to take off work and the nurse told me I probably wouldn’t have my first ultrasound until 14 weeks. How on earth are they gunna make me wait until I’m 14 weeks along to have my first ultrasound done. They said they would only have then early if the dr thinks I need it and I said well I’ve had an ectopic and lost a tube would that constitute me be scanned early. Do I make an appointment at an outside ultrasound clinic?? I don’t think I can wait that long.
