Waters breaking?

Question

What did your amniotic fluid look/feel like? I literally cannot tell if I just have watery discharge or if it’s amniotic fluid. I’m paranoid! So please let me know.

Mine happened when I was asleep, I woke up to a contraction and then it felt like I peed myself and a gush came out but his head blocked the rest until they checked me at the hospital. Burning my experience it came with contractions that continued after so there was no question.

I was leaking amniotic fluid mid 2nd trimester and through all my third. I couldn’t feel anything other than my underwear being wet. I went to triage and  got tested. It came back positive so they kept me for a little. My water didn’t actually break until 37+1. It was a gush of liquid and I couldn’t stop it.

Never heard a pop! Was laying in bed and when I turned to the side felt stuff come out of me …. Almost like I was slowly peeing myself . Took a shower and even felt it come out in shower .

Both times I felt, and heard, a pop. When I stood up (both times I was laying down lol) water literally came rushing out of me. With my son, I was still leaking when I got to the hospital a half hour after it broke.

With my first experience with water leaking it was clear very watery and smelled like chlorine. That was my third baby and with my fourth baby it was yellow and had no smell
