Failed induction

Last Monday I went into the hospital to be induced and after getting the gel twice, I hadn't progressed from the 2 cm that I was at when I got there. They started pitocin at 6:30 am Tuesday, and continued to raise it throughout the morning. I got to the highest dosage and still had not progressed passed 2 cm. So they sent me home... I go in today at 7 pm to try again and I'm so nervous it won't work again. Has anyone had this happen? Did it work the second time? Im praying I didn't have to get a c-section.
