Progesterone

So my ob-gyn had put me on the vaginally inserted progesterone pills and on the bottle it says not to take while trying to get pregnant and when I asked her why she would prescribe it to me knowing we have been ttc for a year now she simply said" I want you to lose weight first so I prescribed this as a contraceptive." I'm fuming. How would you respond? like I am speechless. She simply could have just asked me to lose weight or told me that it is recommended not go behind my back and do this. When I looked it up is thickens the mucus so that the sperm can't swim through. And on top of that I've already taken it the 5 days in a row.🤦‍♀️ how do I even proceed after this? Should I find a new doctor?
