Can't be pregnant if u get period..?

I know people say u can't be pregnant if u have a period but I know someone that lost their Virginity one day and started their period the next and conceived.. Normal 28 day cycle. Is this possible?

You cannot have a period while pregnant. It's literally impossible. You can bleed, though, it just isn't a period.

It is not possible to have a period while pregnant.

It is possible, however, to ovulate at odd points during your cycle.

It is also possible to have bleeding for other reasons during pregnancy.

And it is possible to experience bleeding after sex (particularly for the first time).

So if that was the only time she had sex and ended up pregnant, one of the above happened (most likely the first or the third as you don't immediately conceive after having sex).

It's not their period that they're experiencing. It is vaginal bleeding which is normal in some pregnancies. A period would be physically and medically impossible to have if you were pregnant. Basic anotomy/biology reasoning there. A period is the shedding of your uterine lining because an egg did not become fertilized and plant itself on its walls. Without the uterine lining a fertilized egg cannot survive because it has no "sack" to grow in and get nutrients from.

Yes. You can get pregnant during any point of your cycle and it's not uncommon to do so on your period.

You don't have periods (the production/release of an egg) during pregnancy (because an egg has been fertilized), but you can very well experience vaginal bleeding for a plethora of reasons during pregnancy besides that.

I know a friend that had her period up to 8 months pregnant. And she slid into home base while pregnant. It  happens.... Very rare through.

Are you asking if you can get pregnant even though you're on your period OR if you can get your period when you're pregnant?

The answer is yes, it's possible to both. Yes, even if you're on your period, you can get pregnant, as sperm can live in your vagina for days and travel to an egg. Yes, you can get your period even when you're pregnant. It's rare, but still possible.
