New mom, breastfeeding advice? LBW??
Hi! New mom here with a 3 day old beautiful lovely girl. Arya, weighted 2.7 kg today, she’s lost just a bit of grams ( was 2.9 at birth) in the hospital. I’m still getting a hang of the perfect latch, i was also tired, probably still high on anesthesia and an emergency c section that i could barely get up and walk, so i might not have breastfeed enough the first day out of the hospital, i feel like a bad mother, the hospital is pressuring me to feed the baby otherwise they will internalize us until baby is up to speed. I’m losing it. I started keeping track of baby feedings, at day 2 started pumping, and feeding her the pumped milk with a syringe when either breasts need a break. My midwife said no bottles yet.
I guess I’m here for some kind of support or advice. My baby is hard to wake up sometimes, but when she doesn’t feel me around she wakes up , this is when i take advantage to feed her. To give you an idea, this is an example of today:
29.05.24
4:05 diaper change full poop
4:10 feeding right breast
5:16 15 ml colostrum
9:00 diaper change
9:30 feeding right breast
15:00 feeding 20 ml
15:30 diaper change full poop
17:35 feeding left breast
18:00 feeding left breast
19:50 diaper change full poop
20:00 feeding 10 ml
Would love to hear some mom stories about BF, pumping, tips on waking up baby, and when and how should i approach feeding her ( i set an alarm for every 3 hours).
Thank you moms :)
