Has anyone had an abdominal ultrasound at 7 weeks and seen a heartbeat?

My ultrasound isn’t until I’m 9.5 weeks and the anxiety is really tearing me down. We went for an appointment yesterday and didn’t see a heartbeat, but the NO was very positive and said it would likely not show this early. I’m interested in going and doing clinical sneak peek and getting an ultrasound with it next week. But I’m worried they won’t be able to see anything. I’m overweight so I’m nervous it would just be a waste of money. Anyone have any experience?

I didn’t have an abdominal scan at 7 weeks with any of my pregnancies only vaginal scans but I did see and hear a heartbeat. You probably just didn’t see it because it was an abdominal scan my doctors don’t do abdominal scans until closer to 10 weeks

Abdominal no but had a transvaginal done at 6+4 and saw a heartbeat.

Honestly I would say it depends on the actual ultrasound machine for 2nd pregnancy and 1 st they only did transvaginal for the first trimester but this time around I was 6 weeks exactly and they can see heartbeat but tech says it depends on machine so I think it’s most likely the actual machine praying all goes well 🙏🙏

Abdominal we could only see the pregnancy but I also have retroverted uterus so it makes it hard to see the baby in early pregnancy during an abdominal ultrasound. Did a transvaginal 6wks+4days and could see baby and hear the heartbeat.
