Passing Out Almost 24 Weeks Pregnant
Alright ladies. I need some input from anyone that may have experienced this before while pregnant. I’m currently 23+6. Yesterday, I was sitting on a bench at an indoor playground while my 2 year old ran around and got some energy out. I didn’t move, didn’t try to stand up, nothing, but suddenly, got hot, sweaty, and my vision started going. I knew I was passing out, so laid my head down on the table. By the time I came to, my son was sitting across from me screaming, so I’d estimate I was out for 20-30 seconds. As soon as I came to, I felt violently ill and ran to the bathroom to vomit multiple times (something I have not dealt with at all this pregnancy). I was still hot and sweaty for almost 2 hours after losing consciousness. My husband rushed home and we sat around all day in the ER. All they said was that it sounds like baby shifted onto some abdominal blood vessels, which caused me to pass out and be sick, and once baby shifted away from the blood vessels, symptoms subsided. Both my husband and I are very wary of this conclusion, because baby isn't that heavy at this stage, and she's measuring small for gestational age anyway (25th percentile, based on ultrasound measurements). But of course all my labs and vitals came back normal while in the ER. So if anyone has experienced something similar, how did the rest of your pregnancy go? Did you experience additional episodes of fainting unexpectedly and seemingly without reason (not standing up fast or overheating)?
