Ventricular septum defect

forever2

Just had my anatomy scan a few days ago and I had no idea my scan showed possible ventricular septal defect! I received the dreadful phone call that I hope would never happen again cuz it happened my last pregnancy which ended in D and C. My heart sank when Kaiser called me and said I needed to speak with genetic counselor. Part of me wishes that the ultrasound wasn't clear enough to see everything and that the heart is in perfect shape! I'm hoping that my baby does not have VSD or any other heart defects! :( but everytime, I get hit with this, the end results is always bad. I have to get an in-depth high risk ultrasound tomorrow to check out the heart. It's going to be another painful and silent ultrasound and then waiting for the doctor to come in to give me more bad news. I also may have to do aminocentesis as well. Anyone else can chime in on their experience, advice and if they ended up with everything is fine and okay.
