Should I meet with my daughters dad in person
For anyone who needs some background information

As I said on my last post I am in contact with my daughters father. A lot of people were telling me to get emergency custody but that's not an option for me right now. The courts goal is to put her back with her dad and if he doesn't get it together by the 6 months mark they will look into placing her with me. Right now all I have is visitation to get to know her. Someone had said she doesn't know the foster parents either but the difference is they don't have a criminal record. My criminal record is most likely why they are starting with visitation first. My daughter wants to be with her dad. I'm not gonna take her away unless I have to be do plan to stay in her life regardless of what happens. My ex got another random drug test and passed. When we talked about his relaspe he told me he knows it wasn't the right way to cope but he found his brother when he committed suicide and he just wanted to feel numb. He is still searching for a job and the person who owns the house he was evicted from is letting him stay there without rent to try to get back on his feet to get our daughter back as long as he cleans the house and stays sober. I have to leave to Minnesota for visitation with my daughter again and I'm wondering if I should meet with her father in person to talk in person. We haven't seen each other in years so I don't know if that's a great idea but I can at least talk to him. We've been remaining in communication while everything is happening. Since I'll be down there it feels like a good time to meet face to face.
