Why does he pull away?

I am dating this guy and we had sex yesterday. However after he left, he didn't text or call me at all for the rest of the day and night. This morning he texted me a little and now I havn't heard from him since 11. Tbh, I feel he is more distant. And idk why. Could he be losing interest? We have long deep convos while together. And we have even slept together several times. However, he has told me he is scared of falling in love and his heart feels cold now. He has also told me he would prefer me not getting feelings during sex and not having illusions of him. But he continues to hangout with me, flirts, teases me, etc. What should I expect out.of this? Could he be catching feelings?
