Crunchy mamas?

Any crunchy mamas on here?  I'm hoping for a home birth.  Not really planning on finding out the gender.  May forego all ultrasounds.  Just curious if there were any likeminded September mamas.....

Pleaseeee don't avoid the ultrasounds, or at least the anatomy scan, they look at all of baby's and your anatomy and they can be life saving for both of you. If you're thinking of avoiding them because you don't want to know gender then all you have to do is tell them you don't want to know.

Yes!! Crunchy mamma here. There are a lot of Facebook groups you can join that will be a big help. Thinking about home birth the second time around and hiring a doula.

I really wanted a home birth but I no know else is on board with me. So we decided on a midwife in an natural birth center within a hospital for my first. If all goes well we will hopefully do home births for the rest of our future births.

I'm also limiting my ultrasounds but I would never ever recommend not getting one! 
My plan (unless something goes wrong with me or baby) 
Is to get my confirmation scan at 7 weeks, then the big scan at 22 weeks. And then that's it unless there is complications. 
We are also considering not finding out gender!

We're having a free birth, we live remotely and midwife has never made it on time.  I am definitely having ultrasound though.

Me too.  I've had 3 home water births. Thinking about dumping US too.
