Advice??

Ftm here @ 11 weeks! I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. I've asked my OB and he seems to avoid the question (he's older and gets side tracked lol) when do I need to start registering for hospitals? I want, if it's possible in my area, a water birth/unmedicated birth. Do I have to call the hospitals? Do I just try and talk to my OB? Anything else I need to sign up for/know soon?
