one of me and my boyfriends close friends died recently, he was my boyfriends best friend we spent every day together so he’s obviously devastated. at the funeral my bf pulled me aside and he was crying and said he thinks if we have a kid and it’s a boy we should name it after our friend. I told him I don’t think it would be a good idea because this friend has 5 siblings and I told him that I know someday one of them is going to have a kid and they’re going to want to name their kid after their brother. I wouldn’t want to take that from them or be disrespectful. he was obviously really upset and probably not thinking straight, we both were, and I honestly don’t even know if I want kids. But I do feel really bad for shutting him down like that at such a difficult time. Was I wrong for this?
