I wasn’t sure if I’d want my mom in the delivery room but when my water broke spontaneously (at home) I got scared and called her and asked her if she can meet me at the hospital, about 30 minutes from her house. She was driving with my sister to the supermarket to go food shopping at a place about 20 minutes from their houses, and my sister got upset and demanded that my mom and her go food shopping like they planned before my mom could go home and leave for the hospital. So that’s what they did and my mom barely made it in time.

We were also each other’s maid of honors for our weddings, I helped plan her bridal shower and planned the entire bachelorette party and paid for most of it (some girls pitched in too). She didn’t plan either for me which I was ok with because I was having a small wedding. But my mom took me, my sister and our grandma out to lunch as a small celebration and my mom gave me a few gifts back at my house afterwords. One gift was a dinner plate set and apparently my sister had gone to the store while my mom picked it out. My sister just sat on the couch and complained about how long it took my mom to pick out the plates. I felt really uncomfortable and like I was putting her out for being at my house for that small celebration.
