What is the best age gap between siblings?

My kids are 13, 10, 8 & almost 4. My favorite & easiest age gap was 2 years. My 2nd was still young enough that having another baby wasnt too new & i jumped right back into it. The hardest was 4 years, i got used to my kids sleeping through the night, doing stuff by themselves. So when we had our 4th it was so hard getting back into the newborn stage. I struggled a lot.

I have a 3 and 1 year old and pregnant with my third. When the baby gets here I will have a 4 and 2 year old plus a newborn. My oldest two are 23 months apart, and between my 2nd and 3rd will be 24 months apart. I love the age gap. The first few months is hard but once the baby can start to interact with the kids it starts to get fun as you watch their bond grow. My oldest two are literally built in best friends.

I have a 9 and 12 year gap with my blood siblings. 2 & 1 year gaps with bonus siblings. Never been issues.
