Do you base maturity on age?

Question

I was wondering how preteens even find the glpw app. But then I thought to myself yes, they are expected to be immature, but if you really think about it there are women on here just as immature. Not anyone specifically, but just in life in general. 
I do not base maturity off age. It all depends on how you interact with others socially and the experiences you have been through. 
I personally do not think anyone has the right to deem someone wrong because they "are still young" or are "too young to know" 
You never know what path someone has walked on. You never know what obstacles they are going through and overcame. 
 You can be young, and have went through a lot more then an elderly person. It's just how life goes. Some teenagers are more emotionally mature then people who are the typical child bearing age. 
A child is a blessing. Everyone's decsions are their own but there is no excuse to mistreat a child, wether you are 15 or 35
We all make mistakes but there is a difference between making a mistake, and continually mistreating a child.

I don't mind preteens being here because if I had this app when I was 12/13 man, It would have saved me a lot of time on google. They come here because we're supposed to be the BTDT (been there done that) women that can offer support and advice. Not bashing and telling them they're too young to be curious about what's happening to their bodies.

Maturity isn't based on age. I became emotionally mature at 13, a long time before many of my friends, because at that time, when I wasn't at school, I was a full-time carer for my late uncle, who was living with my family while suffering from cancer and dementia. It was traumatising for my whole family at some times. But it was a great experience for my whole family, despite how hard it was, but now I see the world from different eyes. I think if I hadn't matured so early, I would be a lot more immature.

As a youngster I'd always had the view of age bringing knowledge just because the longer you are on this earth the more you must learn right?... WRONG,the older I get the more I realise that's absolute rubbish and so many variables come into being 'mature'.

It pisses me off to hear: "Well you're still a teenager, so you're not mature enough to know" or "Wait until you're my age, then you'll understand."

I'm sorry. I didn't realize me being younger than someone and disagreeing with them makes me immature...

I can't count the times when I've conversed with someone older than me, and when I disagreed with them, I was told I'm "too young to know" or "not mature enough". No. I don't agree with you. It's not because of my age, or my maturity, it's because we have differing opinions.

Age doesn't define maturity. There are immature adults. There are immature teenagers. Just like there are mature adults and teenagers.

I think it depends on person to person. I hear things like “your not a 2nd grader anymore blah blah blah...” or “ you’ll understand when your more mature” I feel that sometimes adults feel superior to kids and say stuff like “wait til you are older” if you don’t understand their language or you don’t agree with them. It’s sometimes unfair. And the thing with preteen and teens, adults expect you to act like an adult yet they treat you like ur a kid.
