Expressing too much colostrum?

I was given the green light to start hand expressing colostrum at 36 weeks. I’m currently 37+4 and have expressed over 230ml in syringes. I had NO idea this wasn’t normal until I googled it. I use my Hakka to let the colostrum just run out for about 10 mins. What do I do? Has anyone else experienced this? Will I even use all this or will it end up just being thrown out?

i know plenty of people that this has happened to no need to worry lol. you don’t have to keep collecting it. baby will consume it so i mean, you’ll use it lol. i believe it can also be used as home remedies for everyday things that come up.

I was in a similar situation. I’m keeping them. My daughter’s pediatrician recommended mixing them into bottles when shes sick or exposed to any illnesses.

You probably aren't going to use it since baby will get all that he or she needs from direct nursing. Maybe you can donate it to the NICU? I would just stop collecting it since there's not much point, unless you have an older child that is sick. On a complete side note, there are some body builders that swear breastmilk and colostrum are the best food source, and they will pay a lot of money for it, lol!
