small piece of mucus plug-mild period cramps
i’m 35+1. i’m having mild period like cramps, and i lost a small piece of my mucus plug (which means nothing most the time i know lol) but with the cramps it’s making me a little on the edge my son got steroid shots for his lungs for something completely unrelated about a week and a half ago. which since has been resolved, they thought i had placental abruption due to positive KB blood test but my next KB test was negative. i have been having some cramping here and there for about 2 weeks, and braxton hicks for awhile. baby moves fine, his usual. ive been getting what i think are still braxton hicks much more frequently the past few days though, accompanied with the cramping, and i lost a small piece of my mucus plug earlier. this is my second baby, and with the steroid shots i have no territory with that never had to use them before im concerned they matured his lungs and now im going to be in preterm labor. if i was at least 37 weeks i would not be as curious or slightly concerned. i went naturally with my water breaking at 39+2 with my first contractions followed after water breaking so things are a little different to me figuring out what’s labor or whatever. so, is this normal? should i just relax and wait it out? see if things get worse or other things start happening? maybe i’m just beginning to dilate now and that’s the cramping and small piece of mucus plug explanation??? please help me lol
