Period, Pregnancy or Problem?

My period isn't due for another week, but I've been spotting for the last three days, which is unusual for me. Yesterday I felt a little icky, and today I started having cramps, bad enough to take some ibuprofen. Could it be implantation  bleeding or should I be concerned and go to the doctor?

I would wait and see if your period comes. If not, do a pregnancy test. I had some spotting starting on the 10 day after ovulation and apparently it’s due to low levels of progesterone. My doctor told me to start crinone because of it.

So I actually do this every cycle and I was told that this is usually a sign that you have lower than average levels of progesterone. Most OB will just recommend birth control or tell you it’s normal. If you have pretty dramatic PMS symptoms then that’s usually a sign of having lower than average levels of progesterone.
